When i run defrag on my XP computer a status window comes up, when i try it on my vista computer, no status window ever comes up, the little circle cycles for hours and the staus window never appears, the one that actually tells you if it is necessary to defrag for each drive.
If it helps both computers have firewalls and good spyware and antivirus scanning. also we always clear cookies/delete files/clear history ever time we exit the net, so theres really no excuse for the defrag on the vista computer to act this way.
