I see the easy way of scheduling an auto-initiated scan built right into the Windows Defender interface. I used it to schedule daily quick scans.
But I'd also like to have a full Defender scan complete itself regularly without any manual actions by me, say weekly. Apologies if I've missed some option inside Defender to have two schedule entries or have missed some already-posted instructions.
Bet it can be done with Windows Task Scheduler much like this tutorial - http://www.maximumpcguides.com/automate-windows-vista%E2%80%99s-disk-cleanup/ - showed us a way for Disk Cleanup. It'll take some details, arguments and such, I wouldn't know how to construct... can anyone out there write a guide like that, easy enough for us laypersons?
I appreciate all the help posted on this forum.
